Despite its inability to provide steady supply of electricity to its customers in the Federal Capital Territory and environs, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) on Friday issued 72 hour-notice about its plan to commence the disconnection of its service to all debtors.
The AEDC in a statement by the Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Adefisayo Akinsanya, urged all customers with outstanding bills to settle their accounts immediately to avoid service disruption.
The statement read in part: “The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) is notifying all customers with outstanding bills to settle their accounts immediately to avoid service disruption.
“To this end, customers who are yet to settle their outstanding bills within the next 72 hours, by Monday, June 3, 2024, will face disconnection of their electricity supply,” he said.
