About 50 winners who emerged as instant Millionaires in the Dangote Cement Plc. Consumer Promo Bag of Goodies 3 who emerged in the Northeast region, along with 10 others from the South-West were celebrated and presented with their prizes by the company on Thursday.
At Winner’s event attended by people from seven states of the Northeast to celebrate with the lucky winners was held in Jos, Plateau state.
The Regional Director, Northeast DCP, Ismail Iliya said the winners spread across Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba, Plateau, Borno, Gombe, and Yobe states.
Iliya disclosed that 20 winners were awarded various cash prizes and consolation gifts at the venue, while those in far-flung areas would be sent theirs prizes after the event.
The winners ranged from businessmen, block moulders, labourers, contractors, etc. across the region, who confessed they were encouraged by the big win to participate in the promo.
The Star prize winner, Salisu Hussaini Ibrahim, who went home with the N5 million prize money said he was elated about his win and commended Dangote Cement for the initiative.
Other winners said although they initially thought it was not real, they later realized that ‘with Dangote Cement, only the best can happen.”
“We were doubtful initially, but with the conviction that Dangote Cement means well for the nation, we decided to give the Promo a try,” one of the lucky winners said.
The youngest Millionaire, Salisu Adam, said his belief was that the sky could be the limit if youths strive for success in all their endeavour.
At the event on Wednesday in Sagamu, Ogun State, the Principal Administrative Officer of the National Lottery Regulation Commission, Afam Ojeh lauded the initiative by the management of Dangote Cement for consistently giving back to its teeming customers through its annual promos, where customers win huge sums of money and other lofty items.
Ojeh, who represented the National Lottery Regulatory Commission at the event, enjoined the customers to appreciate the gesture of Dangote, as the company, on a yearly basis, gives back to its customers and appreciates their patronage through the Promo.
“The Management of Dangote Cement should honestly be appreciated by the customers as the company paid handsomely to the Federal Government to be given permission to conduct the yearly promo,” he said.
The head, Cement route to market,Kayode Akin Bamidele, said Dangote Cement which is playing a key role in economic development of the country, the Nigerian would continue to impact the lives of consumers nationwide.
Bamidele said many behind the brand initiatives of DCP promise good quality of life, and service to humanity
In 2019, Dangote cement gave out cars worth millions to consumers, But in 2022, he said the stake was bigger due to the negative consequences of COVID-19, which created the need to improve financial status of customers, hence the millions being doled out to target 500 people across the country
The representative of the National Lottery Regulation Commission, Mandy Appiah, described Dangote Cement as “a quality brand with great concern for consumers, to ensure a good quality of life for the people.”
The Dangote Industries is widely adjudged the ‘Most Valuable Brand’ in Nigeria for its ability to deliver on its promises to consumers of its products.
