A new Permanent Secretary has been appointed for the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources. He is Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda.
Aduda’s deployment to the Ministry was contained in a circular from the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation with reference No. HCSF/248/III/163, October 4, 2022.
At a reception organized by the Directors of the Ministry to welcome the new Permanent Secretary to the Ministry’s wing of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Towers) in Abuja, Aduda urged the staff to put aside their individual differences and perspectives and work towards moving the Ministry and the nation forward.
He pledged his readiness to work to ensure the Ministry succeeds in its mandate in the Oil and Gas Sector.
With the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) in place, Aduda said the Ministry would have to work out modalities for the reforms that would form the new oil and gas industry policy, to help the country appreciate the beauty of the PIA and how the Ministry positions itself to play its roles in its effective implementation.
He sued for the evolution of effective means and methods of relating with the various agencies in the sector aimed at evolving a world class oil and gas industry.
The Permanent Secretary thanked his predecessors for the solid foundation they laid through the good job they started.
He expressed appreciation to the Directors for the warm reception accorded him and assured that he would operate an open door policy to enable them relate with him freely.
On behalf of other Directors, the Director, Upstream Department, Busari Kamoru, assured the Permanent Secretary of their maximum cooperation to enable him succeed in his assigned mandate.
