AEDC management crisis: Battle shifts to the court, as BPE challenges KANN’s suit against UBA’s takeover

Nine firms have been approved by the National Council on Privatisation (NCP) to carry out a nationwide verification of NIPOST Properties & Development Company Limited, the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) announced on Thursday.

The privatization bureau said the NCP under the Chairmanship of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo drew the firms from the six geo-political zones of the country.

They include Oghogho Ayanru, Raji Adewale Associates, Alaba Odunlanmi, Law Field Barristers and solicitors, B.A. Wali & Associates, Aliyu Abubakar & Co, Bola Fabola, Tayo Osuntogun & Co and Primal Chambers.

The announcement of the nine firms was one of the high points at the second meeting of the Council for 2023 presided over by the Vice President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday.

The terms of reference given to the firms included providing proposals for carrying out the assignment based on validating the titles of the properties, thereby determining if the properties were duly registered at the relevant Land Registries; determining the ownership status of the properties as well as the type, size, and location of the properties, and providing any additional information that would enhance the audit of the properties.
