Asharami Synergy Limited, a Sahara Group Downstream Company, says its investments in technology and innovative solutions were aimed at enhancing its operations in the aviation fuel market.
The company idenrifies itself as Nigeria’s first indigenous energy company to operate as an independent aviation fuel marketer.
With a control of about 25 percent of Nigeria’s aviation fuel market share in the petroleum industry, Asharami says it was operating as the preferred aviation fuel market for local and international airlines.
Head, Sahara Group Downstream Business, Foluso Sobanjo, said in Lagos on Monday that the company’s investments in infrastructure, human capital transformation, quality, health, safety, and environmental sustainability continues to drive its service excellence.
Sobanjo said Asharami Synergy would leverage its technology-driven supply operations efficiency across the downstream value chain to deliver distinctive value and innovative solutions in the market.

Asharami Synergy operates in four countries in Africa, with a combined storage capacity of 81 million litres of Aviation Turbine Kerosine (ATK), otherwise known as aviation fuel.
The company, Sobanjo said, has over 30 million litres of storage capacity for ATK across various locations in Nigeria as well as a fleet of ultra-modern bowsers spread across various locations, fueling the development and growth of the national and sub-regional economy, by providing seamless access to safe and reliable supply of ATK.
“Safety first and always” is the mantra that drives operations in Asharami Asharami Synergy, Sobanjo said, adding that this was a development that earned the company multiple International Standard Organisation certifications.
Being a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Sobanjo said, gives Asharami Synergy a global credibility driven by a statutory self-responsibility that propels its business operations in compliance with the highest global standards.
