A new director representing the North-East geopolitical zone has been appointed to the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). He is Barka Joda Sajou, an engineer, and Executive Director (Technical Services) of the agency.
Mr Sajou will replace Muhammed Abubakar Wasaram, an engineer, who retired from the Federal Civil Service on January 7, 2021, after attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60 years.
The appointment of the new director was contained in a letter by the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, a Professor, addressed to the Minister of State (Power), Goddy Agba, on Monday in Abuja.
In the letter to Mr Agba, who is the official in the supervisory Ministry in charge of the agency, Mr Gambari said Mr Sajou’s appointment, which takes immediate effect, was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
